Presentation Description:
In this presentation, we will examine the basics of early brain development and the potential impact of trauma on such development. In addition, we will discuss the limitations inherent in human research in this area.
About the Presenter:
Dr. Lesa K. Ellis received her PhD from the University of Oregon in Developmental Psychology with emphasis in Cognitive and Affective Neuroscience. She currently chairs the Interdisciplinary Neuroscience Program at Westminster College, works with the McNair Scholars Program for minority and first generation college students, and teaches in Brain and Behavior, Social Neuroscience, and Human Brain Development.
