Presentation Description

What to do if…This educational workshop will discuss ethical issues that often come up in front of the social work board of ethics, what to expect if a complaint is filed against you, and things the DOPL staff wished every mental health counselor would know.

Participants of this workshop will learn how ethical breaches most often occur and how to prevent them.

1. Locate your profession’s code of ethics.
2. Understand the role of the DOPL Board as regulators of the profession.
3. Discuss common ethical breeches and identify ways to prevent them.
4. Know what to expect if you end up in front of the regulatory board.
