About the Presenter

Dr. Amy Fehlberg is a licensed clinical psychologist who completed her undergraduate training at the University of Michigan and received her PhD from DePaul University.  Across her career, Amy has run therapeutic and independent schools, worked in a community based sex offender treatment program, directed a Children's Justice Center serving Wasatch and Summit Counties, and Worked in community mental health centers providing individual, couples and family therapy.  In 2009, Amy made the move to private practice and continues to work with all ages.  In addition to individual, couple and family therapy, Amy has run DBT groups for many years.  In her private practice she mentors provisionally licensed therapists who are interested in not only becoming excellent clinicians but who also want to gain all of the skills needed to run their own practices.  Over the years Amy has found that she is well suited to work with individuals who are chronically suicidal and self injuring.  Dr. Amy Fehlberg is Coordinator of the leadership committee for Women in Private Practice.
